SHOP HOURS ACT.

At Auckland, yesterday, Mr Norlhcroffc, S.M., heard agaiu the ca3e, v Dudley, for an alleged breach of the Shop Hours Act. Ho ruled that Mr Coopsr was entitled to call evidence impeaching thy validity of the Conference. Tho evidence in the case called proved that the City of Auckland had no delegates, rmd that notice of this fact was conveyed to tho Government before the Conference met. His Worship /uled that the notice was not conclusive, »3 it was made in the absence of jurisdiction ; that the proceedings of the Conference were invalid ; aud that, nobody had been appointed. He dismissed the case. Noiice of appeal was given by Mr Tole.
