A MISSING BOAT.
SUPPOSED DROWNING OF THE OCCUPANTS.
[press association telegram. ] WELLINGTON, July 18. Mr Mills, M.H.R., hae received news this morning of the supposed drowning of a settler named Beeca Evans and a Maori named Isaacs off D' Urville Island. A patty had been landed at Port Hardy foe the purpose of cattle hunting, and Kvaos and Isaacs were to take the boat round te another part of the Island and meet them. They left Port Hardy with this intention, bat, although every search has been made, nothing has been seen or heard of the bo»s or its occupants.
