JURIES ACT AMENDMENT.

A Bill has been brought in by Sir Patrick Buckley with the object of abolishing the distinction between special aud common juries, special juries being done away with. The rights of challenge for the defendant is reduced from twelve to nine. The Bill also provides that when a jury cannot agree ifter deliberating for what the Court considers a reasonable time, they may be discharged. Every juror in a civil case shall be paid lCs a day.
