Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyriprht. THE ST. ALBANS LOTTERY. Sydney, July 16. The drawing of the St. Albans lottery is expected to take place in two months. HUMANE SOCIETY'S MEDALS. Kendall (steward of the Wairarapa), Welby, Earl, Fisher and John Fraser, of Dunedin, have been awarded silver medals by the Royal Humane Society. NEW ZEALAND SHEEP. It is unlikely that many of the sheep brought over from New Zealand for sale will return, as the bulk of those withdrawn are being forwarded to boiling-down establishments. RESPONSE TO MR DAVITT'S APPEAL. Melbourne, July 16. In response to Mr Davitt's appeal for donations to the Irish election fund, £500 was forwarded to Ireland from Melbourne to-day, and it is believed that a similar amount will be subscribed in Sydney.
