OBITUARY.

Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. London, July 15. The deaths are announced of John T. Carrodus, musician; the Marquis of Exeter, and General Hamilton, who commanded the Twelfth Regiment in the New Zealand war. Mr Carrodus was born ab Braithwaite, Yorkshire, in 1836. He was leader in some of the principal Musical Societies in England. William Alleyne Cecil, third Marquis of Exeter, was born in 1825, and eat in the House of Commons for twenty years. Sydney, July 16. Lady Parkes died to-day.
