MARKET REPORTS.
There was a good attendance at the Rangiora markets yesterday. At the yards of Mr W. Buss there was an entry of 2000 sheep, 82 cattle, aud 67 pigs. Tbe biddings throughout bhe day on all classes showed an improvement on late quotations, and the market was generally cleared at following prices:—Piime quality fat sheep 13s 6d, 14s to 15s, medium lis to 12s 6d, crossbred ttitaipcrs 83 6d to 10., good store lambs le 6d to 8s 3d, medium 4s 6d to 6s 6d, Croisbred ewes in lamb 8s 6d to 10., old do 6s 6d bo 83, merino ewes in lamb .4s lOd to 5s 6d. Cattle—beef good quality 23s per 1001b, medium 18. to 20., springers £5 to £7, yearlings 30s to £2, low conditioned do 16s to 203. Pigs—Baconers heavy 28. to 30s, lighb 24s to 265, porkers 15s to 18s, good stores 7s to 9j, good weaners 4s to 5s 6d. In the produce yards of Messrs Tutton and Wilmob—Butchers' crossbred sheepskins 3s 3d to 3s Bd, do merino 2a 3d to 2s 9<l, farmers' lines, heavy crossbreds to 4s 6<i, lighter do 2s 3d to 3s 4d, merinos lo 6d to 2s 6d, pelts and labe shorn skins 9d to Is 3d, rough fat 12s to 14a cwt, rendered do 16s to 17s, hides at full rates. PoultryHens Is 3d to Is 6d p_i?, roosters Is 6d to 2a, turkey gobblers 10s, hens 5s to 6_, ducks 33, geese 53, chickwheat 2s to 2s 9_, oats Is 6d to Is 9J, barley 2s 4d, beans 2s 6d, blue peas 2s 6d, partridge peaß 2s 9d, beans 2s 6d, oab.heaf chaff 50s ton, sharps 6s 6d sack, bran 3s 6d, pig meal 6s od, flour (stone) 17s, do (roller) 20s, potatoes 2s 6.1 to 3s 3d sack, onions 4s cwt, carrots Is 3d bag, apples 2s 6d to 3s case of 401b, cheese 4d lb. At tbe North Canterbury Baleyards On Tuesday there was not a large entry, owing to several lots entered nob being able to come forward on account of .the bad state of the roads. Forward lambs sold at up to 7s 6d, merino wethers to 7s 6d. Other sorts were unchanged. Pigs —'Bacouers from 30a to 355, porkers to 20s. In the produce yards good woolly crossbred skins sold at up to 4s 4d, merino up to 2s 9d, ducks 3s 6d, chickwheat 3s 3d, potatoes 3s, bran 3s 6d, pigmeal 6a 6d. The auctioneers were Messrs Pyne and Co., Matson and Go - G. King and Co., and W. F. Joyn.
