♦ TINWALD RACING CLUB. The annual meeting of the Tinwald Racing Club waaHield at Logan's Hotel 011 Tuesday evening, when there was a large attendance, Mr K. Gates presiding. The Committee presented a very encouraging and satisfactory report. Increased stakes had been giveu at the last meeting, aud the attendance of the public was the largest on record. The season was started with a credit balance of £5204 63 4d. The total receipts amounted to £354 14s 6J and the expenditure £332 11s Id. The present assets of the Cltib as follows : —On tixed deposit £183 15s, current account £51 9a 9d, outstanding subscriptions £7 7-s, total £242 11s 9i. There were no liabilities. The Committee recommended some repairs to the stand, and a portion of the course to be ploughed and top-dressed. Tho report aud balance-sheet were adopted. The following officers were elected :— President, Mr G. A. M. Buckley ; VicePresideuts, Messrs H. H. Wright, D. McLean, aud C. F. Todhunter; treasurer, Mr Thos. Stone : judge, Mr K. G. Crisp ; stewards, Messrs J. C!ark, G. James, J. Hampton, C Doherty, J. Dixon, J. Stephens, M. Redmayne, E. Gates, R. 351. Cuthbertson; committee, Messrs W. H. Bell, J. Clark, G. James, James Hampton, C. Doherty, J. Heaeltiue, J. Dixon, J. Stephens, M. Redmayne, E. Gates. It was resolved to hold the annual race meeting on New Year's Day. Votes of thanks were passed to the outgoing officers. A bonus of £3 oa was passed to the Secretary, Mr A. A. Fooks, in recognition of his valuable services. At a Committee inoetiog held afterwards Mr E. Gates was unanimously re-elected Chairman.
