CRAVATS.
Hand3ome cravats are being made of black or dark-coloured ribbon. The idea is to veil a too pale waistcoat for the darker days of autumn. Some cravats are long. The ribbon encircles the neck, ties in a large loose bow, the long ends of which nearly reach the waist. Soft ribbon is chosen so that the ends are pliant and the loops do not protrude too much. A new ruffle is made of box-pleated glace ribbon, striped in black, white, and colours, reversible, just large enough to encircle the neck, with roses nestling at either side. These match the tone of the silk, and are curiously coloured in green, brown, &c.
