PERSONAL ITEMS.
The Rev. Dr. Watters and the Very Rev. Father Devoy, of "Wellington, left for Dunedin by steamer yesterday to take part in the funeral of the late Bishop Moran.
The Right Rev. Bishop 3rimes, the Very Rev. Father Cummings, V.G., and other local clergy leave for Dunedin by the express to-day for the same purpose.
Mr Geo. Hogben, M.A., headmaster of the Timara High School, returned to Timaru yesterday.
Miss Parsons (Kaikoura) is the guest of Mrs Hamer, Fendalton.
Miss N. Reeves leaves to-day on a trip to Melbourne via Wellington and Syduey.
Mr and Mrs Gordon-Rich, also Mr an.i Mrs Veruon, have arrived in Christchurcb, where they intend residing daring the winter months.
Mr C. P. Hulbert arrived at Auckland from Sydney yesterday by the Rotomahana. Sir Patrick Buckley left Wellington by the Penguin yesterday afternoon for Lyttelton.
