Mails close for the following places as under, subjeot to tbe necessary alterations :— SATURDAY, APRIL 27.
For United Kingdom, per Sfatatua, (specially addressed correspondence only), ut 3 p.m.; late fee letters, 3.15 p.m. ; guard's van, 4 p.m. train. For Dunedin and Australian Colonies, and also for United Kingdom, and Europe (specially addressed via Brindisi), India, Cnina, Japan, &c, per Manapouri, at 3 p.m.; late fee letters, 3.15 p.m.; guard's van, 4 p.m. train. Due Loudon June 12-h. For Northern Ports, per Penguin, at 7.45 p.m. j late fee letters, 8 p.m.; guard's van, 9.15 p.m. train. The next mail for United Kingdom and Europe will close on April 30th, to connect direct steamer Gothic, at Wellington. Due London, June 11th. The next mail for United Kingdom, via San Francisco, will close on May 15th. Dae London June 19th. Note —In future the afternoon delivery will commence at 2 p.m., in place of 3 p.m., and will be extended to certain portions of the suburbs. Letters may be posted for afternoon delivery at Chief Post Office till 1.45 p.m. R. KIRTON, Chief Postmaster.
