A couple of days later Shorland made another attempt to beat Saunders' Inver cargill Dunedin record and he did the in one minute under the record. Shorland now holds the record to and from Dunedin and luvercarifill.

On Thursday la«t W. Begg. captain of the Otago Cycling Club, succeeded in lowering the record between Oamaru and Duoediii to 6hrs 4>nin. T!ie previous record wi- 6hrs am in by W. Robertson, of Middlena-«rch.
