NURSES' HOME FURNISHING TENDERS.

TO THE EDITOR OF THE PRESS. Sib,—-I should like to call public attention to the unfair condition attached to the tendering for furnishing the Nurses' Home, viz,, that the whole of the workshall be completed in one month. Now, sir, have not the hospital authorities known for months post what would be required, and could not tenders have been called earlier .'and a reasonable time given to do the work in ? There is great dissatisfaction in the trade, and I have heard it asserted many times during the past few days that the job is tied up to one then it will only be possible to do it by sub-letting the greater part of the cabinet work required.—Yours, &c, Live ahd Let Live.
