CANTERBURY METROPOLITAN TROTTING ASSOCIATION.

A meeting of the Association wa. held at tho Cicy Hotel last eveniug. Present— Mr O. Hood- Williams (iv the chair), and Mes.r. W. Tonka, C. P. Howell, A. Duncan, and V. Harris. The Waahdyke Trotting Club submitted a programme of a meeting proposed to be held on the 14th March, the added money being £1-0. The balance-sheet of their meeting held last year showed a balance In hauu. It was resolved to approve of the programme, but to point oue that newly - established Trouiug Clubs must not rely on the passing of future progiammes, iv view ot the reduction in the number of meetings required after tbe 3lso Jul/ next, by tbe .faming Act of 18UL The newly formed New Brighton Trotting Club submitted v programme for a meetiug to be held on the 13th March, the added money being £190 for eight races. A list oi thirty-three subscribing members accompanied the programme. Tho Association approved bue programme, subject to the same proviso mentioned in regard to the Waahdyke Trotting Club. The Association approved of two trots to be held at the ineetitiz of the South Canterbury Jockey Club on tbe 2.eh and 28ch April nexc; also of two trots to be held at the meeting of the North Canterbury Jockey Club on the 4th April, 1895; also of two trotting events to be neld by cue Canterbury Troctlug Club, namely, a Juvenile Stakes of M 0 for two and three-year-olds, In 1893, and the Futurity Stakes, £75, for two-year-olds, iv 189 U. Accounts aui.uuoing to £3 l_s were passed for payment. Acceptances for the Meeting close to-day. Entries for tbe Produce Hack Handicap also close to-day.
