A NUISANCE.

" , TO TBS EDITOR OE THE PRESS. Sir,-Is the St. Albans Borough Council so poor that they cannot afford to out the willow and poplar. bushes and trees 'along the Carlton Mill road? They are hanging . at some places half-way over the footpath (?), and when it is raining it is impossible to get along without getting wetted by these overhanging branches. Perhaps, though, it ' is not the Council who, should attend to the cutting of these branches. I believe, thoqgb, it is part of their business to look after the footpath, which is gradually disappearing, and is hardly fie to walk on when wet. I hope something will be done before the coming winter towards improving it, as it is a disgrace to the suburbs.— Yours, &c, A Constant Traverser.
