SHIPS ON FIRE.

London, January 22. The ship Beneruchan, while about to leave Newcastle, was discovered to be on fire. A quantity of inflammables in the forepeak were alight, bub the flames were extinguished before any serious damage was done.
January 24. The ship Porb Elrol, from Glasgow to Adelaide, oaught tire in the Clyde. She was badly burned, and it was found necessary to scuttle her.
