Yesterday; afternoon the" cargo steamer Aswanley arrived: from' Mpji, Japan; via Auckland and Napier, having come to Nβ w Zealand under charter to the Shipping Compiny to load general cargo fer London. The steamer is a line stamp of the modern cargo carrier, and is now on her maiden voyage. Leaving Yokohama on December 4th, the Aswanley went to Moji, where a supply of coal was taken on board, and the voyage resumed on the 10th, the steamer arriving at Auckland on January 3rd.
