ST. ALBANS COUNCIL.
The ordinary meeting: of the St. Albane .Boroogti Council was held last night. IVesent — The Mayor, and Crs. Wake, Honey, Way mouth, Millton, Morgan, Cook, and Keig. Apologies for absence were received lrora Crs. Tyree and Brooker. The Finance Committee reported receipts £49018s 2d, and recommended for payment aocouoU amouatiog to £399 7s Bd. The debit balance at the Bank was £713 17«10d. The Committee also recommended that all unpaid r»tes should be sued for, and that application should be made to the Avon Road Board for £61, half cost of formiug the boundary road. The report was adopted. . The report of the Works Committee was adopted. It recommended that no further •Meps should be taken concerning the widening of InnesVroad, that fresh tenders should be invited for the haulage of shingle, and that permusion shontd be given for the •apply of loo yards screenings. Or. Money was elected a member of the Works Committee, Or. Wake of the Lighting and Sanitary, Committees, and the Mayor a member of ail the Committees. A number of letters were dealt with. It waa decided, that the dog registration fee should be 10a. Ccc&kio gave notice to move—"That $n&tare all tenders, involving an outlay of £8Q or over should be advertised three time* In each morning paper." The Council then adjonrned.
