; THE FIRST-CLASS YACHTS. (press association texeuram.) WELLINGTON, January 17. The yacht Mascotte had a fine weather passage from Lyttelton. The Waitaugi will race under the colonra of the Auckland Yacht Club in the firstotua championship, as she does not become the property of the Wellington syndicate until the day after the regatta. The questionasto whether the waitangi coal d be considered an outside boat wa* dealt with by the Regatta Committee, who decided that if Mr Logan aigosd au entry form dot* cribing the yacht' as sailiog under the auspices of the Auckland Yacht Club, the entry should be taken as from an ouUide boat.
