SCHOOI, OF DOMESTIC INSTRUCTION.—The Canterbury Progressive Liberal Association has received the following letter from the Premier:—"l have the honour to acknowledge the receipt of your letter of December 22nd, forwarding resolution passed at a meeting held under the auspices of your Association, urging the establishment of a school of domestic instruction in Christ* church. I have forwarded the letter, in question to lie Minister of Education, and I have no doubt he will give the matter the iullest consideration, lmay further state that the movement has my entire sympathy, and I think it is a step in the right direction ; in fact, in my opinion, technical education is neglected in the colony to a great extent, while higher education receives th* utmo«t attention.'
