. „ (PBSBS ASSOCIATION XSUGBAV.) INVERCARGILL, January 4. At the wool sales to-day about 10,000 bales were submitted. . There was a large attendance of buyers and good competition. A considerable quantity *as passed in. Prices are considered fairly satisfactory, being about id above those , at the last Dnnedin sales. Fine balfbreds showed s> drop since last season of l£d to ljgd per lb ; Lincolne, Leicester* and Strang wools, |d to Id; merinos, Id. Halfbreds made 7d to B£d ; strong crossbreds and Leicesters, 6d to 7£d ; Lincolns, s|d to 6fd; merinos, 3jd to 5dL
