(FBES3 ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) WELLINGTON, October 25. Ac the Palmeraton show, which began yesterday, the; entries numbered 1134, an increase of 80. Forester won the championship for thoroughbred horses and Mitchell's Glengyle in draughts. Cattle—Ayrshires, Forater Pratt'a yearling bull. King James; shorthorns, Rathbone's Oxford Duke XV. ; Herefords, Wheeler's Jubilee j Jersey and Alderney, St Bernard. Sheep— Lincoln's, T. Tanner ; Romney Marsh, R. Cobb; Cotswolds, fl. F. Dawson. Pig 3— Forster Pratt. There is a larger display of implements than before. A. Fantham had the champion shorthorn cow, J. S. Jackson Hereford cow, S. W. Lutford the champion Ayrshire cow, and A. 8. Baker the champion Jersey and Alderney bull and cow. Mr W. Wilson, of Waverley, was the largest prize taker. The show was attended by 12,000 people to-day. The Premier and the Hon. J. Carroll were present. The Masterton Show was held to-day. The weather was all that could be wished for. The stock exhibition was equal to, and in some respects above, former years. There ■was a falling off in thoroughbred horses, but other classes were up to the average. In draught stallions, the champion was Mr Maxwell's three-year-old Renfrew Jock. In Liuoolaa (sheep) Perry Bros, take the championship for rams, and John Rayner the championship for ewe. The champions in Romnoys are not yet decided. The attendance is expected to exceed that of former years.
