' Iv the betting rooms last night Bruin left off a decided favourite at 100 to 12; Lady Trenton 100 to 10, Straightdre and Brilliant 100 to 7_, Paris 100 to 7; Theodore, Havoc, Cbesterman and Elswick , 100 tod. Yesterday Mayo took 1000 to 70 four times about Lady Trenton. Other heavy wagers booked were:—sooo to 130, Tarcoula; 4000 to '200, Chesterman; 4000 to 160, El-wick; 3000 to 340, Bruin; 3000 to lOO.Sellm; 2500 to 170, Theodore; 2500 to 150, Foxtail; 3000 Co 210, Brilliant; 2000 to 140 Capstan ; 1000 to 90, Havoc ; 2000 to 140 Paris; 1000 to 75, Straightdre; 100J to 35, Miraculeur.
