At a meeting of the creditors of Albert Delaney, late ot the Trocadero, tbe Official Assignee stated that the proof of debts would eventually amount to. £700. Mr Eberle, the holder of the lease, baa offered to take over the stock at £350 and make no chum for arrears of rent. The Assignee thought the estate would pay 6i or 7s in the £. Mr Eberle's offer was accepted, and the meeting approved of the Assignee's action in prosesuting the bankrupt; also, that he may act as advised in respect to the debtor's brother. HAWERA, October 20. Dr. Richards, for seventeen years in practice here, died this morning. Apoplexy was the cause of death. DUNEDIN, October 21. An elderly man has been arrested on a charge of forging a cheque for £6.
