>♦- CHRISTCHURCH. Saturday, October 20. (Before R. Westenra Esq., J.P.) Alleged Larceny.—John Coleman was charged with having, on October 19th, stolen £9 15s, the money of Wm. Bright. It appeared that the parties, having been in company all day, went to some house where Bright fell asleep, and on waking discovered that his money had been taken from his trousers pocket and his friend was gone. On the application of the police the accused was remanded till October 22nd. Alleged Swindling.—Fred. W. Ashman was charged with obtaining on October 6th from Harry Macarthy the sum of £3 by means of a valueless order. He was remanded till October 22nd, bail being allowed, himself In £10 and one surety in a like amount.
