The Poatmaater-General told Mr Duthio yesterday that? strong' representations are being made to the Cable Company agaiast the charge in' the official vocabulary proposed. The colony's delegate to the Postal Conference will also be instructed jbo protest, and if these, means fail the questiou of withdrawing the contribution will have to be conai-det-ed, for Mr Ward considers it wrong that users of the cable should. not be permitted to retain their ova codes.
