The New Zealand .Loan and Mbecautilb Agenot Company, Limited, report for week ending October 19tb, 1894 :— Wheat—Bosiness in this' market continues quiet, and the demand for milling lines is limited. Whole fowl wheat commands full prices, but transactions are chiefly of a retail character. Present values are—Tuscan and Pearl 2s 7d to 2a 8d t Hunter's 2s 6d to 2s 7d, whole fowl wheat 2s 3d to 2s 4d per bushel, f.0.b,, sacks extra. Oats—With the exception of a small local demand, there is an absence of inquiry, which causes values to be depressed. Today's quotations are—Prime milling Is 7d to Is Bd, ehorfc feed Is 5d to Iβ 6d, long Is 4d to Is sd, Dons Is 6d to Iβ 7d per bushel, £.0.b., sacks extrik. Barley—Nothing doing. Grass Seeds— Ryegrass, old pasture, 4s 6d; ordinary quality, 3s 6d to 4s per busheL Cocksfoot, dressed seed, 5d to 6d per lb; undressed, 4d to Sd per lb. Clover Seed—Good samples o! colonial cbwgraasand red clover meet, with a ready sale at to 7d per lb, machine dressed 70s to 72s 6d per cwt. Potatoes—Markeft stagnant, and values remain nominally at 15s per ton at country stations. Grain Auction—We held our final sale of the beason oh 19fcb, and were favoured with a full attendance of the trade. We sub■inUted a varied catalogue of wheat, oats, barley, Ac, and quitted the bulk of the lines offered at the following range of prices:—Wheat, milling, 2s 6d to 2s 7d, whole fowl feed 2s to 2s lid, oats Is 21 to Is 7d, barley 2s 6d to 3s, all ex store, sacks extra. Oats have been offering more freely, and excepting for local demand enquiries are limited. Beans and Peas unchanged. Ryegrass, Cocksfoot and Clovers have now only retail demand. Potatoes * show no improvement and are lifeless. Dairy produce with fine weather is in full supply, and prices all round lower. Present quotations, f.0.b., LytteHon, sacks extra:— . . Oaten Sheaf Chaff—6o*. sacks included. Exports for the week—Wheat 6266 sacks, oats 1190 sacks, chaff 1946 sacks, seed 65 sacks, potatoes 2377 sacks.
