LYTTELTON.
Tuesday, Octobeb 2. (Before J. Thompson and S. K. Webb, Eaqs., J.P's.) Larrikinism.—Walter Guy and Georgo Driscoil, two youths, aged sixteen years, were charged with assaulting a boy named Edgar Back. From tho evidence it appeared that on Saturday evening about 9.30 complainant was going to the railway station when he met the two accused, who had their faces blackened. They knocked him down and struck him, but ho managed to get away and went on his errand to the station. When returning, about a quarter of an hour later, he was again set upon by the accused, who knocked him down and took his hat. The accused said they were going back to an hotel, where they had been dancing and singlug during tho earlier part of the evening. The Bench said such conduct would have to be put down with a run* hand. As both the accused had been before the Court previously they would now be bound over to keep the peace for three months, each iv one surety of £10.
