- A deputation waited yesterday afternoon Upon the Premier to urge the remission of Ihe senteuce on_ Kere Kaitiau. Mr Hone Heke said the offence had been* committed under the influence of Tawhiao and there was no danger of its repetition. .The Preriu.r said he could not recommend a remission. Keri had-been twice previously convicted and released on a promise" of good hehaviour. ThePremier-saidhe hidheard from Tawbiao himself that Eeri had acted on his otfn responsibility.
