RE G. E. FRANKLIN.
The first meeting of creditors in the estate of George Eames Franklin, draper, was to have been held at 2 p.m. yesterday, but lapsed for want of a quorum. The bankrupt's statement showed — Unsecured creditors, £42 13s 5d ; assets balance of salary due from the Rev. W. Barnett, £22 (more or less); furniture £20; two shares in Le Bon's Bay Butter factory, £1 5s ; total, £43 ss; leaving a credit balance of lis 7d. The furniture, however, cannot be reckoned as an asset, aa it is less in value than the amount required by the Act. The principal creditors were the Le Bon's Bay Cricket Club, £7 9s 6d ; J. Cr-wford, £11 14s; W. Wales, £10 6s ; J. S. Olltver, £5 10a 6d. The bankrupt waa formerly manager for the Rev. W. Barnett at Le Bon's Bay, and waa now employed at Messrs Lonargan and Co. 's. He was examined at length aa to hia position.
