Alleged Larceny ok a Bicycls.—A man was arrested yesterday by Chief Detective O'Connor on a charge of stealing a bicycle value £10, the property of E. R. Brabazon, on Saturday. The bicycle was, left on the footpath outside the Hotel, aud it is stated that the accused was seen to take it ay ay, but it has not yet been recovered.

The Garden op Eden,—Under this title a novel and interesting entertainment, ■which is well spoken ofdsewhere, will be opened at the Oddfellows' Hall, Lichfieldi street, on Thursday evening next.

Chrysanthemum Club.—A Committee meeting of this Club was held at Dr. Irving's residence on Friday evening, Dr. Irving in the chair. Opiukatio Carnival,—There was again a very large attendance at the Carnival in the , Tuam street Hall on Saturday evening. Themusical items given in the programme were. ** Scenes that are Brightest," by Mrs Kelly j ■ " Sainted Mother," by Mrs Kelly and Mias Hayward ; " Let mc like a soldier fall" and* " Molly Eawn," by Mr Cadzow; «' Plymouth Sound " and '• The Garonue," by Mr Woodhouse; "Daisy Bell," by Mr Edgar, which was encored no less than three timet). The tableaux were repented very successfully. Mr Brookes, who is a flautist of considerable ability, played a piccolo solo " Danse de Satyrs," whioh was encored and repeated. Mr Rossiter's orchestra played several selections very nicely indeed. Tonight there will be a very attractive programme. There will be a grand winter garden scene repcesenting a moonlight feU in the Norwegin Palace gardens, illustrated by fifteen tableaux.
