ATTEMPTED SUICIDE.

NAPIBR, April 28. James Coachman, a steerage passenger of tho Rotorua, attempted suicide on tho passage from the North. He fired two pistol shots at himself, one miasms; and the other grazing the right side of his face. Alongside him iv his bunk was found a sixchambered revolver, with six chambers atill loaded. Coachman was brought ashore this morning, and placed in tho lock-up. The revolver was purchased when the Wyaloug gold rush broke out, but Coachman changing his mind came to New Zealand. No reason was assigned, but Coachman was iv a depressed condition, and suffered much from sea-sickness ou the voyage.
