GISBORNE HARBOUR BOARD.
(PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) GIBBOKNE, April 27. The Gisborne Harbour Board decided last ' night to sell their fine plant, consisting of two 40-ton Hercules and Goliath cranes, locomotive, Ac., to the Napier Harbour Board, who will shortly be requiring like machinery for additions to their works. The Board also decided to promote a Bill next session to compel' the Public Trustee to invest their-loan moneys, subject to the control of the.The .The Public Trustee has lent it to the Government at 4£ percent, and the Board have tfq pay the British bondholders 5 pcs cent,, tnoa the district loses £1000 per annum. The Board says the money could be readily invested in the district on firat-claas security at not less than 6 per cent.
