All the Australian and New Zealand lives except the Shaw, Savill Company, have adopted a uniform homeward route for the sake of safety, via the Horn, between lat. 50 and 55, and outward via the Cape of Good Hope, between 42 and 46. The objact i 8 that vessels may be enabled to assist each other iv the event of being disabled. April 27. The reason why Messrs Sbaw, Savill and the Albion Company refuse to adopt the track selected by the other Australian and New Zealand liners is that it is too far south.
