TO THE EDITOR OF THE PRESS. Sir,—-With reference to a statemont made by Mr Pentecost, at a meeting at Linwood, reported in your issue of the Ist instant, that he had heard, "on the best authority," that it was the intention' of some hotel owner to establish a hotel in Linwood in tbe event of "No License" not being carried, and further, to a rumour which is being industriously circulated in the borough that it is the intention of my Company to apply for the removal of thie license of the Heathcote Arms Hotel to the said borough, I beg to give such rumour an absolute denial. I may add that my Company not only have no intention of applying for the removal of the license in question, but further, they do not propose to ask for the removal of any license whatever.— Yours, &c., Tnos.
