Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. MELBOURNE, March 10. The weather was delightful for the closing day of the Victoria Racing Club's Autumn Meeting. There was an average attendance of the public. The Governor and Lady Hopetoun and suite were among those present. Titan's victory In the All Aged Stakes was well received by the public, but Fortunatus, wbo ran second to him, was badly riddeu. The fir9t two horses in the Unplaced Two-year-old Stakes Sola and Cateran, are stable companions, and the former must have won but for swerving, and Broken Hill, with only Bst up, looked such a certainty for the Place Handicap that fourteen out of the nineteen coloured on the card declined the contest. The favourite justified the confidence of the public, and won comfortably. Patron ran a great colt in the Loch Plate, especially after the severe gruelling he sustained iv the Champion Stakes on Thursday. Gough rode a beautiful race on Jeweller in the Loch Plate, aud timing his run to a nicety, and only Cuming in lhe last furlong. The following are details of the various events: —

Eiridisforde got well away with Titan*, who assumed command on nearing the straight, and was not afterwards headed, winuiug comfortably by three quarters of a length, Hova half a length behind Fortunatus, Eiridisforde last. Won easily by a length and a-quarter, Taupo being three-quarters of a length behind Cooya, Donation, two lengths away, fourth. Time, 2_in 43£aec. Tellus cut out the running at great pace, the favourite lying last alongside Jeweller. Entering the straight Patron rushed to the front, followed by Jeweller, who joined issue with the leader a couple of hundred yards from home, and gradually wearing him down won a great race by half a length, Sternchaser a length and a half away further back, followed by Tellus, Principle and Gold Reef in that order. Nineteen started. Betting—s to 1 agst J5,6 to 1 Titan and Scrip, 8 to 1 GaiUardia and Salutation. Titan came through his field in the last furlong, and a terrific struggle with Salutation resulted in the gelding winning by a neck, J5 three lengths off third, followed by Repudiation and Warpaint.
