Information has been received that the s.s. Duke of Westminster which left PorS Chalmers for London on January 14th has put in at St. Viuceut, one of the Cape Verde Islands, having sustained some damage to her machinery. She proceeds to Las Palmas, in the Canary Islands, where the repairs will be effected. Later. The Duke of Westminster's refrigerator is working well, and in spite ot the accident to her machinery, her frozen meat cargo is in good condition.
