Hercules, 6d, £600. , The returns of gold for this weok were —Alpine, 810oz from 486 tons ; Big River, 4780z from 300 tons; and Hercules, 269 m from 280 tons. The battery relurns for the woek were— Progress, 170oz of amalgam from 160 ton* J Wealth of Nations, l?_oz from 143 tons, The following are share quotations:*— Big River sales to 12s; Cumberland sales 4s 6d to ss; Hercules sales to Is; Keep-it-Dark, buyers Is 7d, sellers 2s; Lyell Creek sales 2s during tho week, sellers 2a 3d ; Bio. 2 Dark sales 2s 8d ; United Alpine, buyers 20s, sellers 21s 6d ex div. ; Welcome sales Is 6d; Wealth of Nationß, buyers Is 9d, no shares offering. The Cock Sparrow dredge cleaned op' oo Thursday with the result of 30oz for eighty-. four hours work.
