The jockey M'Gowan, besides sustaining a terrible kick just above the temple had his chest stove ia and several ribs broken. He leaves a. wife and two children ia comfortable circumstances. Buxion bad three ribs fractured, besides sustaining in fcernal injuries, bat he is progressing favorably. Walker on Valala, and Stevenson on Tullamore, also fell at the name time. Stevenson escaped unhurt, but Walker, besides being severely shaken, was cut; about tbe face. The accident is supposed to have happened through a dog crossing the etaud in tho opening. From the Press stand it appeared as If Valala stumble 5. Carnage has been withdrawn from the Champion Stakes, for which Patron is nominally first favorite, though there is no betting on the event.
