THE NEW ZEALAND RIFLE ASSOCIATION.
The New Zealand Rifla Association brought their meeting praotioally to a doeb yesterday. Tho Last Try, Nursery, Volley ' ! Firing, Championship aud District Repre* aentative matches were fired. The Last Try was won by Mr Cox of Woodville, the Nursery by Mr Dodde of Port .Chalmers, the Chß.mpiouahip by Captain Smith of the £ ' City Guards by 13 points, and the Diatriofc rj Representative match-by Wellington. Mr / J. G. iS. Tonkin of Wuikari won the Rifle Cap. The Markers' Match will be tired this morning, and the prizes will be presented in the Oddfellows' Hall this after- I noon at half-past two. In the report' in yesterday's issue of the annual meeting of the members of the Association, it was incorrectly stated that the proposal to hold the next meeting at Auckland was carried. The amendment that the next mooting be hold at Trenthaui in 1895 was carried, the amendment that J,ho meeting be held at Auckland being negatived.
