DISEASE AMONGST FOWLS.

TO VMM BDITOft O* fHI HISS. Sir.—l have a large number of fowls, in which I take great interest and pride. Hitherto they have been singularly free from disease of any kind ; while last year and the year before my neighbours had their poultry yards nearly depopulated by a dieease mine entirely escaped. But now apparently my turn has come to suffer tats. A disease of which I have no previous knowledge has killed a number of my " feathered friends," and more are suffering. The birds begin to mope about, their combs and wattles turn quite black, and, after a day or two's illness they crawl away into some quiet corner and die. Aβ some of my neighbours and friends have lost all their fowls by a similar disease, I am naturally a little anxious about mine, and write to you to see if you or any of your numerous .readers and correspondents can suggest a remedy. I may say that my fowls have abundance of food and pure water, range freely round the farmyard and homestead, and as we have both stacks and stubble fields near the yard they get a variety of food, both grasn and grabs, with plenty of lime and bones, and have good warm roosto, w> they ought to keep healthy and thrive yell. Hoping you wilt be able to suggest some cure.— Yours, &&, ;- A Pabmjcr's Wit*.
