SPECIAL MEETING.

_____ i A special meeting of the Hospital Board '. was held yesterday afteruoun iv connection with the Nurses' Home. Present—Messra IV. I Moor (Chairman), W. Dunlop, W.: Langj down, J. Rennie, J. Hamilton, H. W. | j Peryman, R. H. Wood, C. M. Gray, H.Y. } -• Widdowson, E. Mulcock. An apology was j ' received for the absence of Mr Boag. j ] The House Committee reported having j ; conferred with Mr Maddiaon as to aineud- ; ! iug plans already prepared to suit the site i ! decided upon at the last meeting ot the ! j Board, and the Committee recommeuded the -j ' acceptance of them as amended. - j Mr Maddison, Architect, who was prej sent, explained that some small necessary I rooms had been added, which were omitted from the last plans but were in the original. There were thirty-three bedrooms, one infirmary anil two sitting-rooms. ■ The members closely inspected the plans, after which they were accepted on the j motion of Mr Pervman" and Mr Laxcdown. and it was decided to call for alternate tenders as also recommended by the Committee and architect. ! Upon the motiou of Messrs Wood and i Lasgdows it was agreed to write to the ! Government, asking if they : desire to see I the plans, winch were ready, or to appoint i a representative to inspect them. j The House Committee, with power to add Jto their number, were appointed to act as j the Building Committee of the Nurses' Home, After which the Board adjourned.
