NAPIER RAM AND EWE FAIR.

(PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEORAM.) NAPIER, January 26. A lai-ge number of sheep were penned at the annual Ram and Ewe Fair under the A. aad P. Society's auspices, and some extremely fine rams were offered, but bidding was slow and prices ruled very low, about half the stock catalogued being passed in. There was but little demand for Romney studs; thpre were _o Leicester studs, but thirty flock rams sent by the New Zealand and Australian Land Company brought five guineas each. For Lincolns the demand was somewhat better; the top price was 42g3 for a ram bred by the Hon. M. Holmes aud another brought 36gs. One of Fred Sutton's (Southland) sold for 32gs, and another for 20gs.
