ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES
William Jackson, a horse trainer, _of Duvauchelles Bay, died suddenly yesterday whilst diniug at the Madeira Hotel, Akaroa. At the inquest the jury returned a verdict that death was the result of a piece of meat becoming lodged iv the thorax. (press association telegrams.) ' AUCKLAND, November 27. Mrs Elizabeth Johnston, of Pukekohe, while walking, dropped dead from heart disease. Sweeney, the miner, who fell off the Waikato train, is still unconscious, and is not expected to recover. James-'McLean, eighteen, was accidentally killed in Goulthard's sawmill, Hunna. He was' working a deal frame, and was caught in one of the belts. ' DUNEDIN, November 27. Ex-deteotive Shury fell dead from heart disease at Tuapeka Flat, while returning from Mr V. Pyke's political meeting.
