A meeting of the shareholders of the New Zealand and River Plate Company will be held at 7.30 this evening. Meetings in support of the direct veto continue to be hold. At the Tasm street Hall on Friday afternoon a moeting of ladies was addressed by the three c&udid&tej supporting tho direst vote, and a vote of confidence in them carried unanimously, In the Oddfellows' Hall, Sydenham, on Friday a large meeting assembled, when t similar vote of confidence was carried unanimously. On Saturday evening, in the square, a very large aud enthusiastic meet ing was held, good order prevailing. Addresses were delivered by Revs. F. W, Mi and P. R. Monro, and Messrs F. E. Taylor' and George J. Smith, feelings were holdUit night intheTheatreßoyal;Oddfollowi'HeU, Sydenham; Foresters' Hall, Riounwild {, and Crescent road Church, St. Albans. Tha buildings were crowded in all the place*.
