CRICKET.
NORTH CANTERBURY CRICKET ASSOCIATION. A meeting of the Committee was held at the Club Hotel, Rangiora, on Tuesday, Mr R. Blunden, President, in the chair. Donations from Messrs C. Ensor and G. D. Greenwood were ordered to be acknowledged. It was decided that notice be given te each affiliated Club of any proposed alteration in the rules. A handicap of two players was allowed to Ashley County second, Woodend, and Ohoka Clubs ; seven of the County first" team to be debarred from playing with the County thirteen. The time for commencing matches was fixed at 10 a.m., thirty minutes' grace to be allowed. It was resolved to open the Association's Cup matches on Saturday, October 7th, the following games to be played:— Amberley v County, at Amberley; County thirteen v Oxford, at Rangiora; Oust v Woodend, at Woodend ; Ohoka a bye. It was decided that 10s be allowed the County Club and 5s the Cust Cinb for use of grounds in tho event of two distinct Clubs using them, the amounts to be paid to the Association. It was resolved that two Clubs playing together may alter the day, hour, and place of match, by mutual agreement. The followiug is the first round of matches of the Association :— October 7th — Amberley v Couaty, at Amberley; County thirteen v Oxford, at Raugiora; Cust v Woodend, at Woodend; Ohoka a bye. October 14th—County v Cust, at Cust; Amberley v Woodend, at Amberley ; Ohoka v County thirteen, at Rangiora; Oxford a bye. October 21—County v Oxford, at Rangiora ; Amberley v Cust, at Cust; Woodend v Ohoka, at Woodend; County a bye. October 28th—County v County thirteen, at Rangiora; Cust v Ohoka, at Ohoka; Woodend v Oxford, at Cust; Amberley a bye. November 18th—Cust v County thirteen, at Rangiora; Ohoka v County, at Ohoka ; Amberley v Oxford, at Rangiora; Woodend a bye.
November 25th—Amberley v County thirteen, at Amberley; Ohoka v Oxford, at Cust; Woodend v County, at Rangiora ; Cuat a bye.
December 2nd—Cust v Oxford, at Oxford ; County thirteen v Woodend, at Woodend ; Amberley v Ohoka, at Kangiora ; County a bye.
