IJews from the West Indies state that the Haytian warship Alexandra Petion, which was conveying a number of diplomatists to negotiate a treaty with San Domingo, sank like a stone off Cape Liburon at the western extremity of the island. Eighty persons were drowned, including all the officers and the foreign consuls. Onl} T one person was saved. It is suspected that the vessel was deliberately scuttled.
