CHRISTCHURCH AMATEURS.

A Committee meeting of the Christchurch Amateur Swimming Club was held on Wednesday last, when there 'were present — Messrs Watson (in the chair), Sneddon, Francis, Duncan, Smart, England, Denham, Crummy and Reese (Sec.). Correspondence was read from Mr Edgar, resigning his position as delegate to N.Z.A.S.A. The resignation of Mr A. Brabner, owing to removal to Australia, was received with regret. The Hon. Treasurer reported that £15 was still required to make up guarantee of £50 promised to the West Christchurch School Committee for alterations to the bath, which were announced as being near completion. The annual general meeting of the Ciub was fixed for Wednesday, September 27th inst-, at St. Michael's schoolroom. After other minor business, a vote of thanks to the chair closed the meeting.
