Main sorts were unchanged, but faulties were slightly weaker. Crossbreds were fully equal to the best July prices. A Victorian wheat cargo has been sold at 295. Sydney, September 20. The JNew Zealand Land Association, Limited, has received the following London cable message, dated 19th September:— The wool sales opened on September 19 th at the level of last sales. Competition by both home and foreign buyers is fairly active. The attendance of both home and foreign bnyere is good. The total quantity available, including wool held over from last series, is 249,000 bales, 32,000 bales of which have been forwarded to the manufacturing districts direct. [The above figures show that 217,000 bales are available for the current series, against 332,000 bales for the similar series of 1892, or a decrease of 115,000 bales.] Tho wheat market is steady. New Zealand wheat, f.a q., is worth, c.i.f. to arrive 27s 61 per 4801b. Spot quotations have advanced Is per 4961b sinoe last report. • :'
