GENERAL ASSEMBLY.
In the Legislative Council the Liquor Bill and the Public Revenues Bill were read a third time and passed. A Committee was appointed to report on the control of the Council* officers. Several Bills were forwarded a stage and the Council adjourned at 5 p.m.
At the afternoon sitting of the Honse of of Representatives, the debate on the second reading of the Railway Acb Amendment Bill was resumed by Mr Sandford and was oontiuued throughout the sitting. In the evening, the Premier, in answer to Sir John Hall, said the Electoral Bill would be forwarded to his Excellency on the next day. The debate on the Railway Bill was continued, and was still going on when the Telegraph Office closed at 2 a.m.
