CAPTURE OF A BURGLAR.

Sydney Smith, aged nineteen, was captured at four o'clock this morning burglariously entering the residence of Mr Percy George Foster. The Parnell constable, Hutchinson, as he came out of the window on the verandah roof, called on him to surrender. He refused, but climbed to the roof of the honse, slid down the piping at the back, and leaped into the street, pursued by the constable and some civilians to St. George's quay, where he was captured. He is the son of respectable parents. He was Ktnanded. He injured his leg in jumping from the house to the street, and is under medical treatment.
